Membership Application

The classifications of membership include:

Regular Members: Who must hold the Certified Maine Assessor conveyed by the State of Maine, and maintained through a program of continuing professional education. Dues are $20 per year and include subscription to the quarterly MAAO newsletter, Meets and Bounds.

Associate Members: Who are practicing professionals who may not be certified as a Certified Maine Assessor, but who are qualified through their employment or their experience in the field of real estate valuation. Dues are $20 per year and include subscription to the quarterly MAAO newsletter, Meets and Bounds.

Subscribing Members: May be any person, organization or group interested in the discipline of property tax assessment and taxation. Dues are $200 per year and include subscription to the quarterly MAAO newsletter, Meets and Bounds.

Municipal Members may be any elected municipal official or boards of assessors interested in the discipline of property tax assessment and taxation. Dues are $40 per year.

Honorary Lifetime Membership may be conferred upon any person or organization who has rendered outstanding service to the cause of assessing administration. Dues and newsletter subscription are free.

We hope that you will utilize this site as an educational resource, a calendar of MAAO events, and a forum for items of interest to the community of Maine assessing professionals.
